Hello, my name is Rebecca and I'm a Complicance Administrator at St George's Hospital. My role is basically ensuring we're following health and safety regulations and making sure we are HDM compliant. If we're not then I get involved to reverse that, and when we go through the auditing process I check we are passing and if there is anything needed to be picked up I help to rectify that.

My favourite thing about my role is that it’s challenging, it’s different every single day. You come in and you have your basic stuff that you do everyday but you never know what’s going to be around the corner, it’s interesting I never get bored and I just enjoy coming into work everyday.

The most essential skill to my role is decision making, it’s difficult because we deal with routine, urgent, priority, emergency and it’s understanding what takes precedence over something else. As you can imagine in critical care it’s really important that we make that decision and that it’s the right decision at the end of the day.

I’ve been quite fortunate to have been on a few courses already. To make sure I was able to fulfil my role I had to go on two courses, we have a predominant training course in Bristol and they’re very ready to send me off and if there was anything that I needed to do then I was able to go and do my training there.

Bellrock are very willing to put everything into you as long as you give everything back as well, it’s like a partnership. They’re very willing to push you on, and if you want to be pushed then they are there for you.
